Funding Secure For New Scope of Work on Klickitat Wastewater

Klickitat PUD recently approved an amended draft Klickitat wastewater facility plan to study alternative wastewater treatment methods. The new scope of work includes determining the feasibility of connecting the Klickitat facility to the new facility proposed for Lyle. To fund the new scope of work, KPUD applied for and received a $24,000 Planning Only Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Klickitat County is the pass-through recipient of the funds. The U.S. Forest Service is also considering allowing the use of remaining funds from the original scope of work grant to fund the new scope project.
