You're invited to celebrate Public Power Week with Klickitat PUD

On October 8th

  • with cupcakes, coffee and juice available in our Goldendale and White Salmon offices during the day
  • along with pencils, pens, key chains, activity books, Tootsie Pops, litter bags, stickers with electric and water saving tips, and balloons
  • and a pole top rescue demonstration for fifth grade students in White Salmon and Goldendale

    Klickitat PUD will join more than 2,000 other publicly-owned electric utilities in celebrating Public Power Week, a national observance, from October 6-12. Public Power Week is an annual event that celebrates the benefits of hometown, community-owned electric utilities.

    Public Power Week reminds us that Klickitat PUD has been serving the best interests of Klickitat County residents since 1939, and was created by and for the citizens of the county. Klickitat PUD is a trustworthy, hometown, source for both power and energy information, and is part of an American tradition that allows local residents to make important decisions about their public services.

    Public Power Week is celebrated in conjunction with the American Public Power Association in Washington, D.C.
